Day Shift Foreman

SPRING, TX

SUMMARY

Coordinates with the Executive VP of Operations to direct the activities of day shift production department employees in the Winding and Finishing areas by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES/ ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following, other duties may be assigned:

Must be able to read and write in English or Spanish.

Capable of understanding and supporting quality, environmental, occupational health and safety requirements, as applicable to this position.

Coordinates with Executive VP of Operations, Production Planner & Production Assistant to determine production requirements and assigns operators as necessary to achieve schedule.

Supervises Day Shift Winding Leadman and Finishing Leadman.

Checks inventory levels of supplies and reorders as necessary

Checks product characteristics including appearance, fit and finish.

Checks all shipments.

 

OTHER DUTIES

Compiles UPS reports – weekly

Compiles inventory – monthly

Operators

Team Leaders

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include assigning work and training employees.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

5 to 10 years production experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
