Maintenance Technician

SPRING, TX

SUMMARY

Responsible for performing scheduled equipment maintenance and non-scheduled/emergency repairs, as instructed by the Maintenance Lead, or designee.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES/ ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must be able to read and write in English or Spanish.
  • Capable of understanding and supporting quality, environmental, occupational health and safety requirements, as applicable to this position.
  • At the direction of the Maintenance Lead, or designee:
    • Performs routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance, and coordinates any additional maintenance needs with the Maintenance Lead.
    • Completes assigned maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Lead and prepares records.

OTHER DUTIES

Maintains adequate supplies and organizes maintenance consumables.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • No minimum education requirements.
  • Electro-mechanical aptitude.
  • Safe use of hand tools, portable power tools and maintenance shop equipment.
  • Understanding of electricity and electrical equipment, and use of test equipment.
  • Previous maintenance experience is desirable.
